Abstract:
This study aimed at recognizing the relationship between the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) use in teaching and learning English language .the researcher has adopted descriptive analytical and experimental methods. Two instruments were used in collecting the data for needed for this study; namely pre- post tests and observation checklist. The sample of the study were (160) Secondary School students in the school year 2015 -2016. From Omdurman Locality. From Musa Aldaw secondary and Wadi siadana Secondary. The study has used two groups. The first is an experimental group (ICT) based teaching methods classroom beside the traditional teaching methods classroom over a period of four months both group were taught by the same teacher and the same topics three hours per a week. At the end of the course post tests were administered beside the observation checklists. The researcher used (SPSS) to analyze and verify the results. The findings showed that students of ICT high positive interaction and participation,. Moreover information and Communications Technology makes learning words fast, easier and enjoyable,. also ICT shorten the learning time, as well as the use of ICT in teaching learning process develops reading comprehension skills as well as listening skills. , the researcher has recommended that ICT should be implemented to School books, teaching methods and all learning materials. He proposed some suggestions for further studies .
