dc.description.abstract |
Hundred female patients of Uterine Leiomyomas with or without symptoms were enrolled in this study, at Afro- Asian institute of medical sciences Lahore Pakistan during the period March 2008 to December 2008.
All the patients were scanned by ultrasound, following the international scanning guidance and protocols.
The patient’s age was ranging from twenty to 60 years.
The higher incidence of Uterine Leiomyomas was found to be among:
Age group thirty to forty years (58%)
Nulliparous: 50%
Multiparous: 12%
Being the method of choice for diagnosis of Leiomyomas, Ultrasound was found to be very useful in evaluation of patients with suspected uterine masses, and differentiation them from other pelvic masses. |
