We begin by praying to Allah for two things: encouraging us
to keep learning, and asking us not to make any discrimination
based on gender as we engage in a process of learning. The
Prophet Mohammed bin Abdullah was also very keen to spread
knowledge and enlightened teachings & ideas.
Studying the history of Sudanese girls is an exciting enjoyable
matter in many ways and dimensions. As a researcher, I was
very amazed to discover that Sudanese women were able to rule
their communities as sovereign queens even before the Birth of
Christ. That is an evidence that they possessed exceptional skills
in management and knowledge, because persons assuming governing
positions have to be literate and knowledgeable. |
