dc.description.abstract E-government is a kind of governmental administration which is based on electronic information technology. One of the key factors that realizes integration and information sharing to the inter-governmental administrations is the trust level. Information security contributes directly to the increased level of trust and confidence between the government departments by providing an assurance of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive governmental information. The main objective of this research is to design of a framework for Sudanese egovernment security model. It has identified the critical factors affecting egovernment security in Sudan, and attempted to propose an e-government security framework. This proposed model of Sudanese e-services security is based on the existence of technical and non-technical factors. This research proposes a framework for Sudanese e-government security model that can be used as a tool to assess the level of security readiness of government departments, a checklist for the required security measures, and as a common reference for the security in the government departments in Sudan. The framework was evolved from the analysis to the potential security threats in Sudanese situation and how to countermeasure these threats. Similar problems in othe countries were taken into account. In this model four layers are proposed: a technical layer, IT infrastructure layer, managerial layer and law and legislation layer. Each layer will mitigate group of threats related to e- services. en_US
