Abstract:
this study a number of alkoxides of copper(II), Cu(where R is a(OR)primary, secondary or tertiary alkyl group) were synthesized by the reactions of anhydrous copper(II) chloride with sodium alkoxides in 1: 2 molar, the process involved alcoholysis and trans-esterification techniques, finaly C . All the 0copper oxide was obtained by calcination of alkoxides in 600prepared alkoxides and copper oxide were characterized using different analytical techniques, such as, infra-red(IR), X-ray diffraction(XRD).The results obtained agreed well with prepared copper(II) alkoxide and oxide , it was shown that copper alkoxide preparation from primary alcohol is easier than secondary and tertiary one
