dc.description.abstract The convergence of various networks represent important issue in today's network evolution, which brings sophisticated networks; different characteristic; integration of Packet Switch (PS based) networks with existing networks Circuit Switch (CS based) networks. Vertical handoff (VHO) mechanisms are required when mobility is needed in these heterogeneous networks. Voice Call Continuity (VCC) algorithm was proposed as a solution to maintain call continuity between CS networks and PS networks by using Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS). In this thesis, UMTS was considered the CS network while LTE was the PS Network. A Graphical User Interface was designed using MATLAB to calculate the handover delay from UMTS to LTE network and vise versa. en_US
