Abstract:
Altgevn is the oldest methods used technique for the analysis of silver to find out the amount of silver in the sample and determine what is known as silver-caliber karat silver, because the proportion of that technology takes a long time in the analysis process and lead to the destruction of the sample, even though the results one accurate. Where the trend shifted recently to the use of methods of non-destructive testing and analysis of the material highlighted in dealing with metals fluorescence through X-ray - that rely on the analysis method to measure the energy spectrum and intensity of photons of X-ray after colliding with a particular sample. In this research 16 samples of silver in the form of artifacts are taken. And then analyzed by X-ray fluoresce in the X-ray lab of the Sudanese Authority for Standardization and Metrology. Re-phase variation spectroscopy for silver with items added (copper, zinc) were calculated metal ratios of equity rather than a gram as a piece of pure silver 1000 karats, which contains 1,000 shares of silver and zero shares from added. The results showed the concentration of silver in jewelry ratio and found three different types of shots silver in uncovering artifacts: 925 karats Includes 900 shares of silver and 100 shares of additives, 800 karats Includes 800 shares of silver, 600 karats Includes 600 shares of silver, where additives ratio of copper and zinc all samples recorded.
