dc.description.abstract |
A single season field experiment was carried out in the Demonstration Farm
of the College of Agricultural Studies Sudan Univarsity of Science and
Technology at Shambat in the summer season of 2011. The experiment was
aimed to study the effect of mycorrhiza, nitrogen, and phosphorus fertilizer on
the nodulation, growth, and yield of Cluster bean (guar). The experiment was
carried out in a randomized complete block design with four replicates. The
treatments were: control, inoculum, inoculum + mycorrhiza, inoculum +
mycorrhiza + 100kg NPK 23:23:0/ha, and inoculums + inoculum + mycorrhiza
+ 200kg NPK (23-23-0/ha).
The treatment inoculum + mycorrhiza + 200kg NPK 23-23-0/ha resulted in
the highest growth rates, grain yield, and number of pods per plant with
statistically significant differences over the other treatments. |
