dc.description.abstract In this study chicken rations and chicken manure from two poultry farms were sampled and analyzed to study the effect of the quality of rations feed to poultry on manure quality. Samples were collected from poultry farm of Sudan University of Science and Technology (Shambat) and from that of National Veterinary Research Center (Kuku). The laboratory analysis was done in ENDRI, National Center for Research, Khartoum. The samples were analyzed for some chemical and physical characteristics. flame emission spectrometric of alkali metals (Na, K) in the ra􀀯on (Kuku) gave 0.26*10-2 mg/L, 0.31*10-2 mg/L and in manure with 0.32*10-2 mg/L, 0.34*10-2 mg/L, the ra􀀯on (Shambat) gave 1.8*10-2 mg/L, 6.0*10-2 mg/L and in manure gave15.8*10-2 mg/L,4.4*10-2 mg/L respectively, and Atomic absorption spectrophotometric of trace minerals (Mn, Co, Cu, Fe, Zn) in the ration (Kuku) gave 0.274*10-3 mg/L ,0.036*10-3 mg/L ,0.155mg/L , 0.343*10-3 mg/L ,0.226*10-3mg/L and in manure gave 0.476, 0.033*10-3 mg/L,0.233*10-3 mg/L, 1.288*10-3 mg/L, 0.448*10-3 mg/L, the ra􀀯on (Shambat) gave 0.215*10-3 mg/L, 0.022*10-3 mg/L, 0.087*10-3 mg/L, 0.590*10-3 mg/L, 0.221*10-3 mg/L and in manure gave 0.590*10-3 mg/L, 0.036*10-3 mg/L, 0.329*10-3 mg/L, 1.834*10-3 mg/L, 0.742*10-3 mg/L . Nitrogen content% which was determined by using diges􀀯on method (Kjeldahl),in the ra􀀯on (Kuku) was 2.94% and in manure was 3.22%,in the ra􀀯on (Shambat) was 6.3% and manure was 3.0%. Phosphorus was estimated spectrophotometrically in the ration (Kuku) to gave 0.7*10-3mg/Land in manure 1.0*10-3mg/L in the ra􀀯on (Shambat) to gave 0.8*10-3 mg/Land in manure , 2.0*10-3 mg/L. EC and pH, which were measured using EC-meter, gave in the ra􀀯on (Kuku) 2.01ds/m and in manure 2.9ds/m, in the ra􀀯o, n (Shambat) 5.01ds/m, and in manure 2.8ds/m, pH in the ra􀀯on (Kuku) was 5.96 and in manure 7.16 , in the ra􀀯on (Shambat) 4.99 and in manure 5.72 respec􀀯vely. Results of analysis revealed that the ration used in poultry farms affected manure quality and mainly for fertilization programs. This confirmation of the hypothesis of the first and third. en_US
