Abstract:
Headache is one of the most common medical complaints of mankind,
accounting for more than 18 million outpatient visits per year in the
United States. And used computed tomography to detect it. The IHS
classifies headache into primary (without any organic cause) or secondary
(with organic cause).
The study was aimed to find out the proportion of intracranial
abnormalities in patient with chronic headache without neurologic
abnormality with the use of computed tomography.
Descriptive computed tomography imaging designed, number of 51
patients with chronic headache without neurogical defect in khartoum
state were included in the study.
The main age of patients was 31.41 years, the majority of 29(%56.9) of
patients were females. The majority of computed tomography findings
was normal 40(%78.4), most common of causes of secondary headache
was brain atrophy (%7.8).
The computed tomography imaging to chronic headache plays major role
to detected causes of secondary headache than primary.
