Abstract

This research aims at recognizing the level of stress Among the parents of the autistic children and its relation to some demographic variables (education, economic status, and occupation) To achieve these goals the research used The co relational descriptive method. The sample size was (60) father and mother of autistic children ((30)fathers and (30) mothers)),the sample taken from the centers of autism and special needs Khartoum state .the measure of psychological and then stress was used an analysis was made by the statistical package for the social sciences and the following results were reached: stress psychological the level of the parents of the autistic children of high . There are statistically significant differences in the level of psychological stress of the parents of the autistic children due to educational level in favor of university education . There are statistically significant differences in the level of psychological stress of the parents of the autistic children due to occupation in favor of physicians, engineers, and other supervisory and technical occupations . There are statistically significant differences in the level of psychological stress of the parents of the Autistic children due to economical level in favor of higher economical level . In the end the researcher submitted some recommendations important of which is to submit counseling programs for the parents of the autistic children in order to reduce their psychological stress .
