Vehicular traffic congestion is a well-known economic and social problem generating significant costs and safety challenges, and increasing pollution in the cities. Currentintelligent transport systems and vehicular networking technologies rely heavily on the supporting network infrastructure which is still not widely available
This work mainly aims to simulate traffic congestion detection in urban areas and emergency cases using PROTUES. In congestion detection, we integrate IR sensor with ARDUINO to determine the road situation. Also in emergency, we use RF identifier to detect if ambulance or police car is coming |
