dc.description.abstract |
Descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted to determine the normal reference
values of hemoglobin, Hematocrit, red blood cells, red blood cell indices, white
cells and platelets counts in adult healthy Sudanese male. Total numbers of
samples 625 healthy individuals from most common tribes in Sudan.3ml of EDTA
anti coagulated venous blood sample were collected from each subject. The
complete blood count (CBC) was measured by using automated hematological
analyzer (Sysmex kx-21N). Analysis was done in ALAMAL National Hospital.
The ages of the subjects ranged from 18 to 68 years. A questionnaire and informed
consent was filled by each subject. The results showed that the Hb
(14.6±1.48)g/dl.HCT (44.9±4.9) %. RBCs count (5.3±0.59)× 106/μL. MCV
(84.4±6.4) fl. MCH (27.5 ±2.1) pg. MCHC (32.7±2.3)g/dl. WBCs count (6.6±1.96)
× 10³/μL. Platelet count (272.6±66.3) ×10³/μL. |
