Abstract:
The aim of this study is to draw attention to the linguistic right of Deaf community members in communication and information sharing. For the sake of achieving this aim, the researcher interviewed four families at their homes and asked the family members of the Deaf persons. The collected data were analyzed throughout SPSS program. After analyzing the collected data the researcher came up with that the Sudanese community is unaware of the linguistic right of the Deaf Community members, the families of the Deaf Community members need to know the sign language, and the deaf community members are neglected and excluded by the society. Finally the researcher recommended that the community should be aware of the linguistic right of the deaf community in information sharing and communication and that the community should not neglect and exclude the deaf community members. And then the researcher suggested that this study should be studied in a wider context.
