dc.description.abstract |
A quadrotor is a flying vehicle with four motors driving counter rotating propellers which
are mounted in a cross pattern. It is capable of flying around and hovering like a helicopter but
with the added stability and maneuverability gained from the extra motors.
The goal of this project is to create a quadrotor hovering platform, capable of carrying a
metal prospective by minimized the weight of quadrotor so that it can carry the device. The CAD
software has been used for drawing the model and ANSYS® program to analyses the structure
statically which evaluate the ability structure for carrying the load.
This project started with the design having in mind a list of objectives to be fulfilled by it.
Follow by calculation using ECALC calculator which gave the first suggestion for the
requirement.
The report covers the selection component, design, analysis, manufacturing, and testing of
selected component and an autonomous quad-rotor helicopter, foxing the study in; the structure
manufacturing, performance and propeller aerodynamics calculation.
The most significant problems to date have been an ambitious development schedule
coupled with very limited funds. These constraints have forced compromise in components
selected and methods used for prototype development. |
