Abstract:
This study attempts to investigate the difficulties that encounter EFL learners in oral communication. So, the main goal of this study is to find out these difficulties that cause problems in oral communication. And then to come up with solutions and recommendations that help the students to develop their speaking skills.
The researcher used questionnaire and speaking test as tools for collecting data. The number of participants in the questionnaire was 40 teachers of English language. And 30 students were tested orally.
After analyzing and discussing the collected data, the researcher found out a lot of the students suffer from the psychological problems like self-confidence and linguistic problems as insufficient vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar and language culture.
The researcher came up with recommendations for the students, teachers, and the college.
