dc.description.abstract |
This study attempts to a analyze the errors made by the Students from Sudan University of Science and Technology, second year in English Department in Constructing Well Formed sentence in English language. The participants in the study (were 40 male and female). One instrument was used for this study was (Test) "participants written essays" in English language. The data obtained from the sample provided answers to the research questions. The data were analyzed using code system for the errors so, these errors in the essays were identified and classified into different categorizations. The results show that the four common errors made by participants of this study. These errors are: (1) spelling, (2) verb tense, (3) subject-verb agreement, (4) prepositions. On the basis of these results, a group of recommendations to further research are suggested and some pedagogical implications which might assist ESL/EFL teachers with some helpful suggestions and teaching strategies that will reduce future problems regarding writing English essays. |
