Abstract:
This study has done in academy teaching hospital in ultrasound
.department, and some private medical center
The main objective of this research is to study the kidneys in patient with
uncountable pus and RBCs in urine using ultrasound with 3.5 MHz
.frequency curvi-linear probe
The study was collected form 50 cases presented with
uncountable pus cells and RBCs in their urine using questioner
.includes patients personal data plus ultrasound finding
The ultrasound finding that almost normal kidney size , with mean
volume 103. for the right kidney , and 11 for the left kidney. With
only 18% above normal upper limit, and most likely the
enlargement contributed to the inflammatory processes . On the
other hand 22% of patient have renal stone , 8% in right kidney ,
10% in left kidney, and 4% have bilateral renal stone. In addition
founded that 18% have hydronephrosis , 6% in each side , and 6%
.bilaterally.56% of hydronephrotic patients have renal Stone
The study showed the importance of us in diagnosis of patient
with hematouria and pyuria. But as the study confined to study
the kidneys of those patients thus further studies should be done
.including the ureters and bladder
