Implementing Ad-hoc computer network in friendship hall

Abstract

Friendship hall witnessed remarkable progress in the use of technology, particularly in the field of computer and internet services and where it is the largest conference center in Sudan, as the place where most of workshops, discussions and meeting of global and regional conferences and local communities held, here came the idea of applying the ad-hoc computer network during conferences since they provide the effort and time and infrastructure. Ad-hoc computer network mean that the computers will communicate wirelessly without need for access point. This network is temporary network; could be terminated upon the expiry of purpose. In this network Windows XP operating system used on the server and Windows Vista and XP on other clients, also windows task manager to monitor the network performance in the presence of translation and audio equipments. Firstly the server is configured as computer to computer ad-hoc network and then set up a wireless network on it, and all that through widows XP operating system .were then create the rest of computers to operate only in the ad-hoc computer net work, also through widows XP operating system. Automatically the other computers discovered the wireless ad-hoc network that created on the server before and data were exchanged among them. And thus have established a wireless network without the need for infrastructure and with speed and accuracy required during the conferences. Also in this research windows task manager used to monitor the network performance in the presence of translation services which using infrared, and found that they have little impact on network performance as the frequencies are different.
