Abstract:
Excellence became an ultimate objective for most of corporate as criteria of evaluating its performance and ranking among their rivals, and it also adds a new concept of concentrating on quality and excellence while creating corporate strategy, so it appears as a very essential part of corporate strategic vision, mission, and objectives to help in reaching sustainable improvement.
In this thesis the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Excellence Model has been studied and the area of performance measurement was found as an area for improvement, and also the thesis proposes the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) within the EFQM as an approach for excellence performance measurement. And the traditional quadrant BSC was developed and turned into a hexagon (HEX-BSC) by enhancing it with two additional perspectives to allow for introducing (resources & partnerships) and leadership; moreover the attributes of the traditional scorecards were aligned to fit the EFQM Excellence Model. Then HEX-BSC's objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) were built and tuned to the RADAR (Result, Approach, Deployment, Assessment and Review) logic.
The new Approach, Comprehensive Cyber Strategic Management (C2SM) assume the organization uses the new HEX-BSC within the EFQM Excellence Model as a tool for measuring performance and both EFQM and HEX-BSC interact with the organization cyber application in two ways, one is the applications build and tuned based on the required processes and transactions proposed by the EFQM and the HEX-BSC, and the other is the C2SM approach measures the performance of implementing excellence strategies based on the data comes from these applications.
The thesis finds that the C2SM approach insures both the sustainable performance measurement for the implementation of excellence strategy, and the integration between corporate cyber applications and that strategy.
