Characterization of Maxillary Sinuses In Sudanese by using CT scan

Abstract

The min objective of this study was to charactraiz the maxillarysinus by using ct scan in Sudanese population. The stady was carried out in Antalya medical center and IbnAlhaitham diagnostic center in khartom state. In the priead from (Otober to noveber 2013). The stay was based on forty nine patients with normel maxillary Sinus who were examind by coronal CT scan and were grouped According geder(24)(49%) were males, and (25)(51%) were females their ages were between 15-75years . RT and LT maxillary sinuses length an width as wel as pacial Width and distance from NS to RT and LT lateral border of the face had been measured in MMS . The results showed that the meansvalues were (29.04+\-4.84) For LT MSL (23.12+\-4.54)of LMSW, (29.04+\-4.99)for RTM SL (23.01+\-4.59)of RMSW, (52.05+\-3.44)distans from NS to RT Lateral border of the face , (50.99+-6.130)of facial width. The resaltolso showed that there was relation between maxillary Sinus measurements and the age, facil width as wellasdiffrents were detected between both genders . Concluded that ceramal CT scan had value in chanactinztion of maxillary sinuses and sudanes have different measurements capaing to the other populaions.
