Abstract: | The abortion is one of the common problems that involve a good management in obstetrics, some types can be controlled regarding to their causes and the possibility of treating them. Medical diagnostic ultrasound is considered to be an essential method in diagnosing the abortion events & its causes. Ultrasound has come to play an important role in the management of obstetric patients, (it can provide a window through which inside the uterus can be evaluated and look at the fetus. The information that U/S provide regarding pregnancy is extensive (Hangen 2001) . For example, when amother presents with vaginal bleeding, acommon obstetric complication, placental location can easily be determined. G.A gestational sac can be determind and fetal growth can be monitored. Also by U/S twin and triplets can be diagnosed early in pregnancy. Morover U/S has improved patient care as it used as a guidance in amniocentesis instead of doing this blindly, in 1 addition it replace the fluoroscopy in intrauterine transfusion with less radiation to both the fetus and mother) (Hangen 2001) . The reason for chosen this topic is that the suspicion of high rate of abortion in Singa and abortion impacts on women and families life. In fact, there are more than 375 studies dealing with the emotional and psychological impact of abortion on women. All show that at least aminority of women, typically between 10 and 20 percent, have one or more negative reactions shortly after an abortion. Studies looking at long-term reaction indicate that the longer after an abortion one looks, the more negative reactions will be reported. Commonly reported reactions include: feelings of guilt, shame, anxiety, helplessness, grief and/or remorse; uncontrollable crying, feelings of anger, bitterness, and resentment; feelings of distrust; lowered selfesteem; fear of future pregnancies or, alternatively, adesire to have a "replacement" baby; nightmares or sleeping disorders; depression; sexual dysfunction, eating disorders; substance abuse; self-destructive behavior; broken or abusive relationships; suicidal 2 thoughts or tendencies; and other problems. (Martha 2011) The difficulties that faced this study were; the poor assisted technology in the area of the study; there was no Doppler neither endovaginal ultrasound machines; no printer to print out images |
