Bleeding is a common clinical problem in the first trimester. The most serious complication of bleeding is hemorrhage and infections. Early recognition of source of bleeding can reduced morbidity and mortality. Accurate and prompt diagnosis is essential to reduce the complications of bleeding.Common cause of bleeding is abortions.ectopic and molar pregnancy. Transvaginal sonography (TVS) is highly accurate mean of establishing the diagnosis. TVS is used to assess uterine content complete, incomplete, threatened, missed, septic, inevitable abortions and diagnosis of ectopic, molar pregnancy. In patients who present with clinical diagnosis of spontaneous abortion TVS assessment were correlated with finding at subsequent evacuation of retained products of conceptions. TVS can accurately indentify those women who do not have a significant amount of residual uterine tissues following spontaneous abortions. The purpose of this research is to assess outcome of early pregnancy bleeding using TVS. In this study we reviewed the gross anatomy, sonographic anatomy, and pathology of the female reproductive system, and abortions, US findings of pathological of abortions, diagnosis of abortions, clinical, laboratory, diagnostic ultrasound of abortions, differential diagnosis of abortions, material & methods, results, discussion, concolusion, recommendations. One hundred patients with abortion in first trimester of pregnancy formed the group. The age of the patient ranged from 12- >40 years and gravity from 1-14. This patient with vaginal bleeding were evaluated by Ultrasonography. Various types of abortions constituted the largest group (68%) followed by ectopic pregnancy (20%) and Vesicular more (12%). There were 20 patients with threatened abortion with a pregnancy continuation rate of 16 cases was(100%). Sonographic findings wereen_US
