Abstract: Deep veins thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot in a deep vein, also known Veins Thromboembolism (VTE). DVT predominantly occurs in the legs and may have no symptoms. When symptoms are present, the non-specific signs include pain, swelling, redness, warmness, and engorged superficial veins in the leg. Several diagnostic strategies using Color Duplex Imaging (CDI), D-dimer test, and clinical probability of disease have proved safe in patients with suspected Deep Vein Thrombosis. The purpose of this study is to discuss the utility of Color Duplex Imaging (CDI), as the foundation for diagnosis of lower extremity DVT and prove effectiveness and practicality of Color Duplex Imaging (CDI), as a stand-alone examination versus latex agglutination D-dimer testing in the diagnosis of DVT . The study consisted of 300 Saudi patients were 121 males (40.3%) and 179 females (59.7%) presenting with suspected lower-extremity Deep-Vein Thrombosis were potentially eligible (Moderate to high probability of DVT) according to Well's clinical model, physicians evaluated the patients and categorized them as "likely" to have Deep-Vein Thrombosis. The patients were tested by D-dimer test first then assigned to Color Duplex Imaging (CDI) department consequence. The study include control group (36 healthy individuals) . DD showed positive result in 286 patients (83.3%) with sensitivity is 95.3%and specificity is 83.3% versus clinical presentation .And Color Duplex Imaging (CDI) showed that 274 positive patients (91.3%) with sensitivity is 91.3% and s specificity is 97.2%versus clinical presentations and
