Abstract: his study aimed at investigating undergraduate EFL students’ perceptions about the role of spoken discourse markers in enhancing oral fluency in terms of difficulty, effectiveness and motivation. The study followed the descriptive method, and employed a questionnaire as a tool of data collection. The study sample is represented in 35 students. The data collected was analyzed by using Statistical Packages of Social Sciences (SPSS). The study concluded that spoken discourse markers enhanced the learning of oral fluency, however they were not easy to use, but they were effective and increased students’ motivation in enhancing oral fluency. Suggestions for further studies were discussed at the end of the paper.
