Abstract: The study aimed to assess the impact of home environment factors on students’ English language performance in EFL university students. A mixed methods used "descriptive analytical". Twotools applied. One questionnaire is designed to assess the included factors like parents’ education, occupation, and financial status. Students from both level answered the same questions. Then, their responses were correlated with their grades obtained from their English language instructors and conclusions were drawn. According to the data given, it should be noted that, the result was a significant and positive correlation between the parents’ level of education, income and occupation with students'performance.Another tool utilized in this research was interview. The interviewees were twenty male and female teachers of English language with different level, all of whom were asked about their opinions on the relationship between students’ performance of English language and the effect of home factors.Overall, teachers viewed a relationship between parents’ social and economic status and students' performance in learning the English language. Though they justify this relationship differently, the matter of the fact remains that there is a strong correlation between social factors and students’ performance (by two different ways "direct and indirect") in the field of English language learning.
