Abstract: This study aimed at investigating the role of cultural background in enhancing communicative competence among EFL learners from teachers of English language perspective. The study attempted to highlight the nature of the relationship existing between cultural background and the EFL learners’ communicative competence. The descriptive analytical method was adopted, a questionnaire was used as a main tool for data collection. The research sample comprised of 30 teachers of English who were pursuing MA in English Language Teaching in the academic year 2021-2020 The findings of the study revealed that: cultural background has an effective role in enhancing communicative competence among EFL learners; integrating cultural dimension improves EFL learners’ communicative competence. Based on the above- mentioned findings, the researcher came up with following important recommendations: teachers should encourage students to be familiar with the native speakers’ cultural background to enhance their communicative competence
