Abstract: Today’s competitive environment completing a project within time and budget, is very challenging task for the project managers, Therefore, project schedule compression techniques are used until projects are executed on time or terminated sooner than planned. Schedulecompression is a technique used in project management to reduce the completion date of the project than what was originally planned. Schedule compression involves shorten the duration of the project without changing the scope of the project It can be used when a project falls behind schedule and needs to catch up, or to finish the project sooner than originally scheduled, Schedule compression techniques have direct impacts on project productivity and quality defects Crashing is a resounding type of project schedule compression technique performed by taking action to decrement the total project schedule length after examining a number of substitutes to define how to get the maximum schedule length compression for the minimum cost. This research is to determine the types of schedule compression techniques used in Khartoum State in the construction projects, which of these techniques are preferred in local companies, to determine the impact of the project schedule compression on quality, work productivity and total cost in construction projects, a total of 100 questionnaires forms were distributed to contractors consultants and owners to obtain their reaction and opinion towards the purpose of this study, 72% of the forms were returned. The data were analyzed by statistical analysis using the 2018 spss program. The results reveals that the majority of respondents stressed that schedule compression techniques Times are sometimes used or rarely in construction in Khartoum State.The result reveals that majority of the respondents are agreed with the purpose surveys questions related to the project crashing method. This indicates that project crashing is one of the effective techniques which can be implemented in construction project due to accelerate the project to give an impact through the route of a construction project. At the same time, this technique can be as one of the risks techniques in the operational to construction project stages Result from this finding gives better outlook for future stud especially on the Project Crashing Impact to labour productivity and quality of work in construction project.
