dc.description.abstractThe oil from Sniapsalba was analyzed by GC-MS.The analysis showed 23 components. The major components are : 13-docosenoic acid, methyl ester (32.85%) , 9,12- octadecadienoic acid, methyl ester (16.20%),cis- 11-eicosenoic acid, methyl ester (12.58%) , 9,12,15- octadecatrienoic acidmethyl ester (10.17%),hexadecanoic acid, methyl ester (5.78%) . Antimicrobial activity of Sniapsalba oil was conducted. The oil showed partial activity against Bacillus subtilisand Staphylococcus aureus.en_US
