Abstract: Spleen ultrasound is one of the modality of choice to assess and evaluate the pathological condition of this organ and together with its measurement. This was an analytical study aimed to assess the spleen volume in adult Sudanese population using ultrasound measurement in order to provide the reference marker of its volume. A 121 patients (34 men; mean age, 30 years [range, 20-45years]) and (87 women ; mean age, 30 years [range, 20-52 years]) who presented with normal spleen although may have any abnormality rather than the spleen itself, underwent abdominal US scan and the measurement was performed in both transvers and longitudinal section, using a high resolution Mind-Ray DC-N6 US unit with 3-5 MHz curved array transducer.; this study was conducted in Sennar city at Alhilal Alahmer diagnostic complex in period from July 2018- till December 2018, and patient demographic data was measured for all study population which include (Height, Weight, and BMI) having mean of 163.7±7.7, 57.5±11.9 and 21.4±3.9 respectively.the result showed that the Splenic volume calculated with minimum 19.2 ml and maximum 213 ml, the mean volume was 89.2±36.8 ml. Directly proportional to the body characteristics.
