This study was conducted toasses the level of knowledge of physicans, veterinarians and paramedical staff about zoonoses and cestode infection in cattle inWhite Nile state-Edueim locality. In addition,to evaluated the level of awareness of urban and rural communities about zoonoses, cestodiasis and food safety from animals.data were collected through aquestionnaires and meat inspection in edueim slaughter in white nile state ,and examination of faecal sample by microscope using flotation methods. The quetionnaires included questions related to zoonotic disease, thecestode infection in cattle and food safety. The questionnaire also involved groups of specialists in medical fields, rural and urban communities,as follows: Medical, assistants, environmental and health workers.in addition to animal woners.the questionnaires included questions related to zoonotic diseases, thecestodes infection and health hazard from animals. The information analysis and meat inspection of slaughtered animals in edueimarearevealed the following:that 106 cattle positive in visual inspection outof (184):57,6%E.granulosus.and proportion analysisbut 128cattle positive in stool examination by microscope using flotation method (taeniasaginata)69.6%.the most affected in cattle of hydatid disease were the lungs and liver . Knowledge about zoonoses and cestode infection revealed in all mentioned groups except the veterinarians require more information to let the targeted groups achieve best health goals and mis diagnosis of cestodeinfection was assumed, which requires more training for meas can be broad casted through tv after testing and improvement.. Using multivariate analysis to determine possible significant association betweenhydatidosis and potential risk factors, the result showed that there was no significant association with any of the investigated risk factors and effect in health and food safety.en_US
