The oil of the medicinally important speciescorochorusolitorius was extracted by hexane and analyzed by GC-MS. The analysis revealed the presence of 22 components. The major components are: 9, 12-octadecadienoic acid (z,z)-,methyl ester. , hexadecanoic acid methyl ester.,methyl stearate .و9, 12, 15-octadecatrien acid,2,3-dihydroxy proply esterand eicosanoic acid, methyl ester. In cup plate ager diffusion bioassay corochorusolitorius oil showed excellent activity against Bacillus subtilis. It also exhibited significant activity against Candidaalbicans.en_US
