Raphanus sativus oil were extracted by hexan at room temperature. The oil was then analayzed by GC-MS.The analysis showed 15 components. The major constituent are: (z)13-Docosenoic acid, methyl ester(35.48%);9-octadecenoic acid(z)methyl ester(17.12%) ; Cis-11- Eicosenoic a cid, methyl ester(11.64%);9,12-octadecadienoic acid (z,z) methyl ester(10.77%); (Z,Z,Z) 9,12,15-oct adecatrienoic acid, methyl ester (7.14%); Hexadecanoic acid, methyl ester(5.48%). Inc cup plate agar diffusion bioassay, the oil was assessed for antimicrobial activity against apanel of standard human pathogenic microbes. At a concentration of 100mg/ml,the oil showed partial activity against Acinetobacter baumannii. Staphylococcus aureus ,Bacillus subtilis and Aspergillus flavus.en_US
