Abstract: | This study deals with the ultrasound finding of abnormal vaginal bleeding in Alfaow city The objective of this study was to determine the causes of abnormal vaginal bleeding to find out any sonographical markers. It was carried out on 100 patients complaining of abnormal vaginal bleeding in Alfaow city includes Hospital and Clinics. The study was conducted from August up to December 2011. The machines used in the study were Toshiba with 3-5 MHz and Mandarin machine with 3.5 MHz, probes was convex with frequencies ranging from 3-4MHz. All patient were prepared by full bladder and using trans-abdominal probe. All patients scanned with supine position technique. After the detailed literary work the study comes to conclusion that pregnancy problems is the commonest cause of abnormal vaginal bleeding which is constitute 88%, the others factors of abnormal vaginal bleeding include uterine fibroids 6%, ovarian masses 5% and endometrium Ca 1%. The study reveal that the incidence of abnormal vaginal bleeding is more common in patients of age 23-25 which constitute 33% and weight 62-65 Kg which constitute 31%. The study shows that most patients are house wife which constitute 73% and most of them in the rural area which constitute 71%. Most causes of abnormal vaginal bleeding are associated with irregular menstrual cycles which constitute 58%. The most parity associated with abnormal vaginal bleeding is 2 which constitute 45%. |
