Specific heat and thermal conductivity are important property of building materials which are used for thermal evaluation of building constructions. Implication of these variations in thermal conductivity is significant in terms of commercial profile of the insulations and also in terms of calculating energy saving in large scale use of that specific insulation. Thus it is important to know which of the measuring instrument for thermal conductivity can produce relatively accurate and representative result. In this thesis thermal conductivity and specific heat capacity for three types of building material (cement, Gypsum and wood) were investigated. It was found the thermal conductivity of those material was varied, (0.062w⁄(m.c)) for wood, (0. 236w⁄(m.c)) for gypsum and (0.158w⁄(m.c)) for cement which reveals that wood has small thermal conductive compared to that of the other two samples. While the specific heat capacity calculated for wood is (2611.34 ( j)⁄(Kg.k)) gypsums was equal to(2201.82 j⁄(Kg.k)) and for cement is equal(1147.1 j⁄(Kg.k)).en_US
