Abstract: One of the main problems that blind people suffer from is the unavailability of the blind sticks that discovers obstacles and alerts the blind. This Research aims to devise a smart stick to assist the blind in motion by using micro-controllers and ultrasonic sensors The research has two parts: the first part is about simulating the system using proteus program before applying it in real world to ensure system quality and to form an idea about the circuit that will be created .the second part is the implementation where two microcontrollers were used. One of them is the master which detects impediments that face the user by alerting him/her using Buzzer and vibration. The other one is the slave which determines the safety of the road and alerts the user by vibration. The system had been developed and it achieved its objectives and been able to discover obstacles and alert the blind by a buzzer whistle and vibration in case there were any obstacles, and it will vibrate in case there was the road is not safe
