Water is essential for life and economic development, therefore, it need to be managed carefully and in a comprehensive way. In 2000, Global Water Partner Ship (GWP) defined Integrated Water Resources Management IWRM as a process of developed management of water to maximize the economic benefits and the welfare of the society. The River Nile State is located between Latitudes 16-22 North and Longitudes 03-03 East. It lies within the arid part of Sudan in the vicinity of the Sahara desert and it receives very limited amount of annual rainfall (<100 mm/year). The main water source therein is the River Nile. The main economical activity in this state is agriculture, which is irrigated from the River Nile. The study follows the approach integrated water resources (IWR) which required the determination of River Nile State surface water, rainwater and ground water quantitatively and qualitatively, and (WRM) which is required the determination of River Nile State domestic, industrial, and the agricultural water use. Simple and advanced statistical models software were applied such as the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), to find out the means, standard deviations and so on, the more sophisticated statistical parameters such as coefficient of variation, skewness and their corrections. This adopted software in this research are considered the keys leading to solution of the problems and fulfilling the objectives to create IWRM body in the River Nile State pilot area, to travel parallel with the expected present and future population growth. Hopefully, this research opens the door to studies of sustainable development in term of water.en_US
