Abstract: Four Sunflower, (Helinthus annuus L), genotypes were investigated to evaluate their growth, seed yield and oil content. The genotypes used were Sarina, Opera, MR 1363 and Hysun 33. The experiment was carried out in June 2016 at farm of the College of Agricultural Studies, Sudan University of Science and Technology (Shambat). Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD), with three replication was used for laying out the field experiment. The result showed that there were significant differences (p ≤0.01) among four sunflower varieties for all vegetative and oil content parameter. Serina variety exceeded and recorded highest value between Opera, hysun 33 and MR1363 varieties, for all parameters plant height, stem diameter, leaf area , 100seed weight number of seed/head, head diameter (cm), seed yield )ton/ h), oil content (%). Result showed there was high correlation between oil content and 100 seed weight, head diameter, also found high significant and relation between head diameter with 100 seed weight.
