Abstract: This study aimed at investigating the errors made by EFL learners in using subject-verb agreement in English tenses. The researcher has adopted the descriptive analytical method. A test that composed three questions was used as a tool for data collection. The sample of the study consisted of (40) students from second year at Bahri University, College of Art, English Language department. The data were analyzed by using the Statistical Package of Social Sciences Program (SPSS). The results reveal that, the students have problems in using subject-verb agreement in affirmative sentences based on the grammatical rules, they also have problems in using subject-verb agreement in negative sentences. The researcher recommended that subject-verb agreement should be paid a great attention and be taught at earlier stage. Students should do many class activities and exercise about subject-verb agreement.
