Abstract: The experiment was carried out to study variability in ten maize genotypes for some growth parameters. The experiment was laid out in randomized complete block design with three replicates. Six growth characters were measured included, days to tasselling, days to siliking, plant height, cob height, stem diameter and number of leaves. The results showed that there were significant differences between maize genotype for days to tasselling, days to siliking, plant height, cob height, number of leaves and no significant difference for plant height and stem diameter. The genotype (No. 4 and 10) of maize scored the lowest days to siliking and tasselling
