Abstract: The aim of the project was to find the suitable thermal environment and comfort for the people working within a three floors building, because there is no suitable thermal environment inside the building. This was done by selecting the best type of an air conditioning system to operate inside the building after the cooling loads of the building were calculated using the Commercial heating, ventilating and air conditioning (CHVAC) program. The total cooling load of the building was obtained at (250.68) kilowatts and the load values of each zones ranges from (1 - 45) kilowatts. Comparative comparison was done between LG and Toshiba units in terms of price and annual energy consumption. LG's split air conditioning units were selected as the best unit to operate within the building in terms of price and annual energy consumption.
