Abstract: | The present study was conduct at fish hatchery Institute of Fresh Water Fish Culture, Department of Fish Science and Wildlife, College of Animal Production Science and Technology. Sudan University of Science and Technology. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of different level of locust meal on growth performance and chemical composition of Nile tilapia O.niloticus fingerlings. Experimental culture units consisted of 8 plastic aquarium (45cm in length and31cm in height(.Nile tilapia fingerlings was distributed randomly with stockingdensity 20 fish in any aquariumand the fingerlings adapted 3 days before of experimental begin. The fish were fed on 20%, 18%, and 15%and10% from body weight two times a day.Growth performance was evaluated basing one Specific Growth Rate (SGR), Food Conversion Ratio (FCR), Survival Rate (SR) and Daily Weight Gain(DWG)were measured. The statisticalanalyzed using ANOVA one way variance. The test was used to evaluate the mean differences among different treatments at the>0.05 significance level using SPSS(17).The result shows that growth percent highly in control (144.76)% but the( initial weight fish (g) , final (W), and weight gain) is low comported the control with (D1,D2 and D3). The growth performance the control highly in(ADWG(0.085),FCR(1.77),SGR(0.401), SR(98)%). |
