Abstract: | This dissertation describes bird fauna in Jabal Awlia area (forest,khazzan), with emphasis on wetland . The study was conducted under natural condition at Jabal awlia area, Sudan . There were no studies in this area , so the studies of the area become basic necessity . The objective of this study are to document avifauna of Jabal Awlia –ldentify avifauna document their seasonal movement, as far as bossible, quantify such changes during the wet and dry season . The investigation was carried out between (March to September 2017) . The study area was patrolled on food from 7.am to 5.pm(direct observation ) ,identification of birds were made using ( Williams and Sinclair and Ryan 2010 ). Point count was carried on foot, field binocularsPentax of magnification (10×50) at approximately (4-8m)were used for observation bird . The result was tabulated in months , There were 20 species eight wet season and five in dry season and the other species ,were recorded in both dry and wet season . The numbers of bird which were recorded 1348 in wet season and the number of birds in dry season were 909. |
