dc.description.abstractThis study aimed at investigating the students’ attitudes towards using code switching at the College of Nursing Science at Bahri University. Both quantitative (questionnaire) and qualitative (open ended questions) research approaches were used to collect data. The data collected was then analyzed to measure the differences in the students’ language attitudes towards each of the languages being used in the classroom, and the effects of such attitudes at college level .The sample of the study was composed of (40) students; including about (10) males and (30) females out of 48 ticked out by using the simple random sample technique. Results that answered the questions on the students’ attitude towards code switching among the students of Nursing College at Bahri University revealed that the students have positive and negative attitudes towards the using of code switching. At the end of the study the researcher set some recommendations that, Although the use of code switching has a positive usage inside the class room, but the weakness of the Sudanese university students of nursing fluency can be attributed to their used of code switching widely, and they cannot speak fluent English unless they avoiding code switching during study time.en_US
