dc.description.abstractPowder milk and liquid milk are considered as one of the responsible food contamination with heavy metals. The objectives of the study were to assess the content of selected metals in milk and its associated human health risks in the food chain. A total of 6 powder and 2 liquid milk samples of branded, were collected from different companies in city market randomly. The metals and trace elements founded are Chromium (Cr), Lead (Pb), Manganese (Mn), Copper (Cu), Iron (Fe), Nickel (Ni), Zinc (Zn), Molybdenum (Mo),Vanadium (V), Cobalt (Co), Tungsten (W), Titanium (Ti), Tantalum (Ta), and Niobium (Nb), contents in collected milk samples were determined using X-rays fluorescence (XRF) spectrometer.
