dc.description.abstractThe study aimed at highlighting the economics of cucumber production with emphasis on its competitive advantage in Khartoum State, Sudan in 2013. The study used secondary data collected from different sources related to the area of the study. The data was analyzed using financial analysis and Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM). The study concluded that the production costs and revenues and profits for cucumber export is high compared with the stages of production and domestic marketing, this proves the efficiency and profitability of the crop for export. The study also revealed the cucumber crops was economically profitable and competitive for export and local resources were used efficiently, the crop suffered from the burden of the tax. The study recommended reducing production costs and taxes to increase the competitiveness and encourage its productionen_US
