In this research, we studied the most important and largest nuclear accelerator in the world build up to date that is the large hadron collider. We highlighted a brief history of the collider, and its main components, detectors, their operations and the main discoveries, .i.e. the Higgs boson which is most important particle in the standard model of particle physics. Moreover other interesting particles to be explored from the large hadron collider, such as dark matter and Kaluza Klein particle.en_US
