dc.description.abstractThis study is analytic and descriptive study done in the Western Kordofan Town of Elnohud in the period from June 2016 to September 2016, to evaluate first trimester pregnancy with vaginal bleeding by using gray scale ultrasound. The main purpose of this study is to determine the causes of first trimester vaginal bleeding and to correlate between patient age ,gravids and ultrasound findings. This study used the Universal Protocol in the work of ultrasound for first trimester pregnancy, and sixty seven 67 patients with vaginal bleeding in first trimester were scanned with trans abdominal sonography .The is data collected from physician requests and from the patients (age, number of gravid and occupation) and ultrasound findings included. The data sheet was analyzed by using SPSS program and statistical method to detect relationship between different variables. Regarding the ultrasound findings in 67patients complain vaginal bleeding in first trimester the most frequent ultrasound findings are abortion in 63 patients (93%), then anembryonic gestation sac in 2 patients (2.98%), and the least ectopic pregnancy ( 1.49%)and trophoplastic disease (1.49 %) . The study recommends that routine early ultrasound scans for pregnant women are highly advisable in accordance to the international guidelines and protocols.en_US
