Abstract: | The aim of this study is to find the route for an Ambulance from the hospital - where the Ambulance is located - to the casualty location through the Khartoum City road Network, by displaying the route path to the user of the system. To study the problem and test the proposed solution the following steps has been performed: Create the Global Positioning System (GPS) data base for Khartoum City road network from the GPS data files, specify the hospital location where the ambulance is located, specify the casualty location, find the route between these two locations, and display the route path on the screen. We have used SWI-Prolog to find the route path. We have also created a java library (GPXParse) to parse the GPS data file (.gpx) to strings to be used in creating prolog predicates and also to be stored in the data base. Another java library (JPL) has been used to call the prolog program from java and call java from the prolog program. |
