Abstract: | Carbon dioxide laser is the most efficient molecular gas laser that exhibits for a high power and high efficiency gas laser at infrared wavelength. It offers maximum industrial applications including cutting, drilling, welding, and so on. It is widely used in the laser pyrolysis method of nano-materials processmg. Acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory disease of pilosebaceous follicles, characterized by comedones, papules, pustules and often scars. Acne scars are one of the disfiguring side effects of acne vulgarisThe aim of this study was to assess the efficacy and safety of carbon dioxide fractional laser in some Sudanese patients treated for atrophic facial acne scars. This is a prospective clinical descriptive intervention study .It was performed at Sudan university of science and technology, Institute of Laser, in laser clinic (Khartoum), at the period from Aug to Oct 2014.
